Vanishing Glass

Vanishing Glass

Vanishing Technologies

Almost 20 years ago, we were one of the first manufacturers to bring the so-called „Magic Mirror“ onto the market and have continued to develop it and perfect it in quality and function to this day. A „Magic Mirror“ typically refers to a mirror that integrates smart technology but maintains the appearance of a regular mirror when not in use. These mirrors often blend into the environment seamlessly and offer various functionalities when activated. These mirrors are designed to serve multiple purposes beyond reflection, offering information, entertainment, or functionality typically associated with smart devices. The goal is to provide convenience and utility while maintaining the mirror‘s primary function in an unobtrusive manner when not actively in use.

Today we are proud to be the first ones in the market to extend the portfolio of vanishing technologies. With our new launches „Magic Black Glass“ and „Magic Light Glass“ we are also able to  offer vanishing glass surfaces in black and light color finish.

Magic Black Glass

Total invisible, black glass with good picture quality.
Allows the image area of the screen to appear in the “ON” position and completely vanish when turned “OFF”. The screen can be placed flexibly at any place behind the glass and leaves a 100% homogeneous black glass surface on the front, when turned off.
For use in building signage (e.g. wayfinding), the glass surface can in addition also be provided with analog symbols that are permanently visible (e.g. by digital printing on the glass surface).

Glass tint (similar to): RAL 9005
Transmission of image area: 50 % +/- 5
Reflection of screen image area: 35 % +/- 5
Reflection of glass surrounding screen image area: 35 % +/-5

Magic Light Glass

Total invisible, light glass with good picture quality.
Allows the image area of the screen to appear in the “ON” position and completely vanish when turned “OFF”. The screen can be placed flexibly at any place behind the glass and leaves a 100% homogeneous light glass surface on the front, when turned off.
For use in building signage (e.g. wayfinding), the glass surface can in addition also be provided with analog symbols that are permanently visible (e.g. by digital printing on the glass surface).
